# Dubbel achtste lid: hoe zit het precies?

Oorspronkelijk was het de bedoeling dat het volledige Wetsvoorstel Participatiewet in Balans tegelijk in werking zou treden met het Wetsvoorstel Handhaving Sociale Zekerheid. Aan beide voorstellen werd vrijwel gelijktijdig gewerkt, maar onderweg liepen de planningen toch uit elkaar.

In combinatie met de gefaseerde inwerkingtreding van de Wet Participatiewet in Balans zelf, zorgde dit ervoor dat het inwerkingtredingsbesluit een flinke puzzel werd. Het beste is dat te zien bij artikel 18, achtste lid\*. Jawel, een achtste lid\*! Dit lid regelt de € 1200-grens voor besparingsbijdragen, maar loopt op dit moment nog gelijk met het oorspronkelijke artikel 18, achtste lid, dat betrekking heeft op de generieke verplichtingen.

Die bepaling verdwijnt pas bij de inwerkingtreding van het Wetsvoorstel Handhaving Sociale Zekerheid. Oftewel: tijdelijk hebben we dus twee achtste leden – één met \* en één zonder – om het verschil duidelijk te maken.
