2nd Cross-Atlantic Welfare-to-Work Conference

Dankzij het grote succes van de vorig jaar in Rotterdam gehouden Welfare-to-Work conferentie zijn wij in de gelegenheid op 26, 27 en 28 mei 2010 een nieuwe editie van deze conferentie te organiseren, waarvoor u van harte bent uitgenodigd.

Het thema van de 2010 conferentie is ‘Full Engagement & Integrated Services (praktische W2W oplossingen op lokaal niveau)’. In deze post-crisis periode, met toenemende vraag op de arbeidsmarkt en een vergrijzende bevolking, staan we voor grote uitdagingen. ‘Full Engagement’ (iedereen aan de slag à la New York City!) en geïntegreerde dienstverlening is ons inziens de richting waarin het veld zich de komende jaren zal bewegen. Gedurende deze conferentie zullen vertegenwoordigers van lokale overheden, wetenschappers, onderzoekers en private en publieke dienstverleners uit Europa, USA, Canada en Nieuw Zeeland elkaar ontmoeten en hun ervaringen, plannen en ideeën uitwisselen. De conferentie is bestemd voor bestuurders, management, beleidsmakers en uitvoerders op het terrein van werk en inkomen. De voertaal is Engels.

De conferentie is een initiatief van de stad Rotterdam, de vereniging Divosa (managers van welzijn in Nederland), DVA (Dick Vink Advies) en de Foundation Welfare-to-Work gesteund door Eurocities, the School of Public Policy/University of Maryland (USA), the School of Social Welfare, University of California (USA) en the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance/Maastricht University (NL). Dankzij onze sponsor Rescare Inc. (USA) hoeven we slechts een kleine bijdrage van 695,- (ex 19% btw) p.p. in de kosten voor deze 3-daagse conferentie te vragen (dit is excl. de overnachtingen).
